REWARDS PLANNED FOR LOYAL TRAVELLING SUPPORT
LOYAL fans who travel the length and breadth of the country to support the Swans have been rewarded for their commitment.
Club bosses are looking at ways to thank the travelling Jacks and have approached a number of other Premier League clubs to try and make partnership deals available to fans.
Vice-chairman Leigh Dineen told supporters at this week's fans forum at the Liberty Stadium that the club wanted to help the loyal fans.
He said: "We have been looking into initiatives aimed at rewarding all supporters who go away.
"We tried to see what other clubs in the Premier League would give our fans as offers when we go to them and then we would do the same when they came to us.
"Sadly, during six or eight weeks trying to do that over the summer, we didn't get very far with other clubs.
"We had reduced bus travel for Spurs, and there are also initiatives with the Crystal Palace and Southampton games.
"When we go to Cardiff we will provide free coach travel, because we felt our supporters should not be penalised by having to pay for the bus when everybody has to go on the bus because it is a bubble match."
Swans fans will receive a free hot meal at Southampton when the clubs meet on October 6.
Following three previous promotions featuring ticket discounts, free merchandise and subsidised coach travel, the Swans will also be providing free coaches for supporters when the team take on arch rivals Cardiff at the Cardiff City Stadium in November.
Club director Huw Cooze said they aimed to provide a better away day experience for travelling fans.
"Food prices and travel are yet another expense for away supporters so we wanted to make this our focus," said the duo.
"We see every offer and promotion as a token of our appreciation for their support."
Tickets for Swansea's trip to Southampton will go on sale from Monday, September 16. The promotional offer will be available until Thursday, October 3.
Any tickets purchased after that date will not include the meal deal vouchers.
