Quins ready for tough battle in bid for Millennium date
CARMARTHEN Quins insist they are not letting their minds wander towards a second Millennium Stadium appearance in four seasons.
The Quins were beaten by regional rivals Llanelli in the Swalec Cup final in 2010 and if they can overcome Blackwood in tomorrow's quarter-final at Glan-Yr-Afon Park they will be on the verge of another day out at Welsh rugby's end-of-season showpiece.
Quins have enjoyed a strong campaign and still harbour ambitions of reaching the Premiership play-offs to complement their cup quest.
However, they are also aware they will face a stiff challenge from the mid-table Championship side."We're taking it one game at a time," said Quins team manager Steffan Thomas.

"Blackwood have earned the right to be in the quarter-final and I'm sure they'll be looking forward to it.
"They'll be tough opposition. They're a Championship club and Ebbw Vale, Newbridge and Bargoed have shown how competitive teams from that level can be. We know a little about them, but not a lot. In a situation like that, you have to prepare well and play your game to the best of your ability.
"I don't expect it to be a walk in the park. It will be a good old-fashioned Welsh Cup tie."
