CARMARTHEN Quins will be hoping for a change of luck as they look to heap more misery on Pontypool tomorrow.

The Quins head to Gwent with confidence still high despite a number of narrow reverses in recent weeks.

And they will be hopeful of notching up their third win of the season against a side who have lost all nine league matches to date.

"Things haven't gone our way in the last few weeks, but we know we are due a change of luck and the side is still very buoyant," said team manager Steffan Thomas.

"We have been competitive in every game except for our opener at Newport and we are progressing as a team.

Reward

"But make no bones about it, we realise we need some results along the way and hope to return home with something this week."

Gareth Williams makes his first appearance since re-signing for the club, while the Quins also include Haydn Pugh on permit from Neath.

Ellis Lloyd gets the nod on the flank as a reward for his excellent early-season form.

Carmarthen Quins: A. Rees; D. Daniel, J. Harries, T. Davies (capt), R. Carter; G. Cull, S. Martens; A. Beaujean, B. Edwards, K. Jones, G. Evans, M. Morgan, H. Pugh, G. Williams, E. Lloyd. Reps: M. Monaghan, R. Wilkes, S. Gardiner, I. Cunningham, K. Gibbins, G. Lewis, J. Garland.
