Qashqais recall after steering wheel fault
NISSAN is recalling 7,300 of its popular Qashqai family cars in Britain after a fault which led to a steering wheel coming away in the hands of a driver.
It is part of a total worldwide recall of 51,000 of the UK-built vehicles — 45,500 across Europe — which are among the biggest sellers in Britain and Europe.
The recall follows an incident in which a driver parking his Qashqai sports utility vehicle in Finland had the steering wheel come away in his hand. Nissan said the driver had not been injured as the incident happened at low speed.
