Pupils to get safety message
CHILDREN in Swansea will be getting involved in a series of events to help them learn about road safety.
Road Safety Week takes place in Wales until Sunday. This year's GO 20 campaign was by road safety charity Brake and aims to highlight the benefits of 20mph speed limits in communities.
Swansea Council is supporting the event by holding a number of activities and special assemblies in schools across the city.
A commitment has also been made by the council to introduce more 20mph limits near schools to help provide a safer environment for children walking to and from school.
Its road safety team will focus on problems with parking near schools and will include action days at Llwynderw, Grange and St David's primary schools.
