CASLLWCHWR Primary School pupils have been taking up gardening, by planting trees in Parc William, Loughor.

The pupils joined the Friends of Parc William group to plant around 200 of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Trees into the park.

Christine Richards, the councillor of Lower Loughor, helped to plant the trees, and said: "The trees included a royal oak from the Queen's estate." The remainder of the 410 saplings will be planted at Tre Uchaf School and along the Loughor foreshore.
