Pupils pedal for their breakfast
PUPILS at a Gwendraeth Valley school got on their bikes to make their breakfast.
Gorslas Primary School was visited by Wheelie Smooth, who brought along specially designed bicycles to encourage healthy eating. The bikes, when pedalled, blend a smoothie before your eyes.

At the school, children from all classes took part to make a smoothie. Each smoothie is full of fruit, helping children on the way to their five a day in a simple but tasty way. Alternately you can also blend vegetables and cereals to make exciting smoothes.
There are two bikes, both different sizes, so that pupils of all ages, size and cycling ability can get involved in riding the static bikes.

Headteacher, Beverly Owens, said: "It went really well. Even the staff had a go on the bike.
"It was really good, and encouraged the children to think about healthy eating and how to use it to complement a healthy life style."
