PUPILS at an Amman Valley school have shown their creative sides by being the only school in Carmarthenshire to take part in the Josef Herman Award.

Pupils at Ysgol Parcyrhun in Ammanford got to work with media artist Alistair Duncan and poet Emily Hinshelwood to create a still walk.

The children taking part in the project, which was held in Josef Herman's home of Ystradgynlais, enjoyed the experience of writing poetry, creating photography and sound recordingsw before compiling, editing and creating their still walk.

Their work was showcased to representatives from Tate Britain at Castle Square, Swansea and in the cinema of the Welfare Hall in Ystradgynlais.
