TWO Llandovery College pupils are continuing the school's historic Oxbridge tradition by being offered places at Oxford and Cambridge.

Olwen Wilson and Chris Williams were overjoyed to hear they have been provisionally accepted at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge (formerly New Hall College) and University College Oxford respectively.

Olwen, from Tirabad near Llandovery, joined the College Prep School in Year 6 and is the current head girl; she has been offered a place at Cambridge to read natural science.

Chris, from Swansea, who joined Llandovery College in Year 12 from Ysgol Cwm Tawe, has received an offer to read mathematics.
