TWO youngsters from Ammanford are to fight it out to be crowned King of the Jungle.

Amman Valley Comprehensive pupils Aled Phillips and Caleb Herbert, both aged 12, have landed a place on a children's reality show Camp Orange, which will see four teams of two battle messy and physical challenges in the jungle in Sydney, Australia. The pair, both members of Mark Jermin Stage School, beat more than 1,000 children for the coveted slot.

Caleb said: "We loved the whole experience, from getting on the flight and landing in Australia. We got to do a bit of sightseeing, but the best experience for me was the filming."

The pair were out in Australia for two weeks for the filming, where they were mentored by Olympic Gold medalist, Denise Lewis.

Aled said: "I am a keen runner myself so to meet an Olympic champion like Denise Lewis was amazing. It was a complete surprise."

Camp Orange run for five weeks, and starts on Nickelodeon this Friday at 5pm.
