Pupils' actions to be applauded
WHAT is it with some parents?
They know parking on pavements or on zig-zag lines outside school gates is a no-no, yet still they insist on doing it.
Do they think the rules apply to everyone but them?
Are their children immune to the risks associated with this daft practice? Of course not. Yet still they persist in doing it.

What to do ? Well, we're never going to get to a level where traffic wardens or police are permanently patrolling outside all our schools. But the actions of children such as those at Pontlliw Primary might just help.
They have captured examples of appalling parking and taken a mental note of any guilty offenders.
It is a fantastic first step and one to be applauded. Chaotic scenes as parents clog up our streets because they are too bone idle to walk a few yards are ones we want to see ended.
If this is a tiny first step towards that goal, it is a job well done.

“Yes well done, but now let's take road safety a step further and teach these children not to treat the roads as an extension of the playground!”
