Public meeting to be held to discuss the future of Neath's town centre post office
A PUBLIC meeting is being held to discuss the future of Neath's town centre post office.
It is being organised by campaigners who are calling for the post office to remain unchanged.
The Post Office is looking to find retail partners for 70 of its Crown branches across Wales, including those in Morriston, Carmarthen, Neath and Port Talbot.
Bosses have said they have no plans to close any of them — but they are looking for a retailer to help continue and modernise the services in the towns.

Cimla councillor John Warman, who has started a petition calling for the Windsor Road branch to be left unchanged, said members of the Neath constituency Labour campaigning committee had organised a public meeting to be held on Saturday, March 2.
Mr Warman said: "The meeting is to gather public support to object against what they are doing.
"There will be speakers there.
"There is a lot of strong feeling and I think we have got a lot of support."
The meeting will take place in Neath Town Hall between 10am and 12.30pm.
Mr Warman said campaigners would be out in Neath town centre tomorrow to tell people about the public meeting.
"Councillors, supporters and members of the public are going out into Neath with posters and placards," he said.
"Our slogan will be save our Crown post office. We are going to go out into the shops and businesses to tell them about the public meeting."
The Post Office is currently operating at a £40 million annual loss. It says it is committed to having a Crown post office within any area where it could not find a partner.
