Pub and hotel revamp plans
PLANS to ensure a 19th century hotel in Llanybydder can reopen as a pub and hotel have been backed by Carmarthenshire Council.
The application, by David Davies, is to renovate the Cross Hands Hotel, a grade two listed building.
It seeks planning permission for the construction of an outbuilding and alterations to the external lighting at the site.
Internal changes to the building are proposed, with seven bedrooms provided at first floor level.
A south extension would be upgraded into living accommodation for a manager.
A new outbuilding is to be created, used as a bicycle store, and plant room.
Concerns were expressed that the work would lead to a loss of parking spaces for the public house.
The plans, together with a listed building consent application, were approved by planners.
