Protests to target Tesco
FRESH protests against the Government's work experience scheme are due to be held today when demonstrators will target a number of Tesco stores.
One of the firm's supermarkets in central London was forced to close on Saturday after it was invaded by members of the Right to Work campaign, who said they were angry at a job advert looking for permanent workers in exchange for expenses and Jobseeker's Allowance.
The group will hold protests at a number of Tesco stores, including two in London and one in Kingston upon Thames.
Employment Minister Chris Grayling defended the scheme, saying the project helped tackle the record number of young jobless people.
"I praise Tesco for offering unpaid work experience, short-term, to young people because it helps them," he said.
Tesco said an advert for the scheme had been "misunderstood" and blamed a computer error by Jobcentre Plus.

You, Fred, have a perfect right to make a fool of yourself on this site but, I think that you have gone too far tonight.
I will not report you to the administrator. However, if someone not connected to me does complain and gets you banned - hey ho.”

The article above is about Tesco - A multi-billion pound Company taking advantage of the Government's Work Programme by getting staff at zero wages.

Off subject again.
Talk to Chris Grayling. Mr. Grayling is a bit like you Fred - He thought that his email box had been hacked by commie activists. However, Grayling had to apologise later when it was revealed that his personal email address was on Tesco's Facebook page.
Whilst talking to the man, could you get him to explain why one of the Tory Party's major funders (JCB) got a Regional Grant?
I wish you all the best, Fred and share sadness that the Tories haven't listened your suggestion in respect of the RPI http://tinyurl.com/6s4kx26 . It seems that the ConDems prefer the CPI.

No, hauling people through court is costly and time consuming, that would just be silly!
As for you earlier post
"If you don't think that those on benefits should work in shops, why the hell are you posting on a thread about Tesco? "
I don't quite understand what point your trying to get at ??”

“How does any body think they have some god given right to a job! Those jobs are created by another person if you think you are being exploited by who ever don't work for them don't shop there create your own job/employment these are the people that should be supported by tax payers those who create employment it is the only answer to unemployment. Funds must be made available to "Small" business creating public sector job just to keep employment figures down is madness! This is reality my close friend who bought a shop £450,000 employs 4 people full time after 8 year his situation is he cant afford a wage packet for himself and is trapped he cant shut it down he feels for those who are working there he should have retired 2 years ago and his health has been effect immensely fund should be made available simply to keep those 4 jobs going look at the cost if those disappeared! And he pays £40,000 a year council tax and it is now impossible to sell it his working day 7am till 7pm book work most night 10pm..”

“Just one thing to say, small businesses rarely take on any of these work experience people because the time it takes to train them in a small business takes too much of the working day out from a limited number of staff.
Tesco can take on 10, train them with one trainer and get them working quickly. Your local corner shop/bakers/craft/shop/etc. can not.
Restricting the scheme to small businesses will mean a massive reduction in placements.”
