Proposal for care home at club site
A NIGHTCLUB could be transformed into a 41-bed residential care home creating almost 20 jobs.
Businessman Will James wants to extend his Gwernllwyn Country Club nightspot in Llandeilo Road, Cross Hands, and turn it into a care facility. Documents from Mr James's agents, Swansea-based architects Thomas Parry Design Partnership state there could be 18 jobs created — 16 full-time and two part-time.
The new care home jobs will include eight carers, a manager, maintenance and kitchen staff.
Coupled with the care home plan is an application for two bungalows on the site.
