Promotion for Cross Hands - now they set their sights on bagging silverware
CROSS Hands could clinch the Llanelli and District Men's Bowls League Division Three title on Saturday.
They sealed promotion via a 93-68 win over Parc Howard, so their trip to New Lodge at the weekend is now crucial.
The dozen points gained against Parc Howard were skipped by Cross Hands rink generals Terry Duquemin, Gareth Jones and Ken Llewellyn.

Cwmamman kept their superb form going, coming out on top 74-68 when hosting second-placed Parc Williams, whose promotion chances from Division Three took a hit.
Cwm's performances throughout the second half of the season have been a revelation and on this occasion they toasted a hat-trick of rink triumphs via Byron Davies, Mike Jones and James Davies.

Tumble were third going into their Division Two game at leaders Dafen Welfare, but the gap at the top has narrowed after Tumble bagged a dozen points from their 89-74 triumph.
With promotion in their sights, the top Tumble quartet via their 27-18 rink success were John Williams, Haydn Ford, Glyn Walters and Tony Rees.

In division two, relegated Llandeilo were leading 40-33 at the halfway stage at home to Dafen Welfare Crusaders, but they ended up with no points.
During the 88-54 defeat, Llandeilo's David Simpkins, Stan Jones, Alan Roberts and Brian Bennett had a chance when they went into the last end on rink two level at 16-16, but Clive Cole skipped in three points to seal the Crusaders whitewash.

The outstanding 26-7 rink win by Morgan Holmes, Gareth Williams, Thomas Holmes and Mark Davies was the clincher for Kidwelly in their 82-77 Premier division defeat of Ammanford Park.
Dai Kingdon and Adrian Price enjoyed a ding-dong game on rink three, with Park's Price nicking it by one wood.
Meanwhile, Park skip Nick Bithray picked up seven shots on the 18th end, eventually beating Kidwelly's Gareth Thorburn 26-22, with the latter showing resolve near the finish to aid Kidwelly's overall cause.

Second from bottom Tybie visited Graig Merthyr, who lead Division One. Although Tybie lost 82-64 they put up a superb fight throughout.
Tybie foursome Mick Ovett, Trevor Thomas, Euron Atkins and Tony Evans were three woods down going into the last end, but went on to score four to ensure a rink win that meant Tybie avoided the whitewash.
