Promise on 'boy racers'
POLICE in Swansea City centre have vowed to target boy racers.
A spokesman for the police said: "A number of complaints have recently been received from residents and visitors to the city centre regarding 'boy racers' congregating in the city area.
"While the majority of these car enthusiasts do not commit any offences, sometimes a small number cause annoyance with loud exhausts, loud stereos and antisocial vehicle use.
"Officers from the city neighbourhood team, along with colleagues from the road policing team and response teams have carried out a number of awareness and enforcement operations."

“So what if there is a bit of noise? They are harmless show off's, they will grow out of it. Wouldn't it be money well spent to concerntrate your efforts on removing thieving scum off the street, crack down on dealers and violence - these intentional crimes?
There will always be boy racers and car enthusiasts, but they don't go out of their way to be a nuisance. Why not have pco's to tell them off if they are being a pain instead of wasting the little resources we have left”
