Powerful stuff from the new Porsche
PORSCHE has announced a new Cayenne S Diesel, which brings huge torque figures and very reasonable fuel economy.
The 4.2-litre V8 engine produces 376bhp, but more importantly 627lb.ft of torque — more than double what a standard Porsche 911 produces. It's enough to power the SUV behemoth from rest to 62mph in just 5.7 seconds.

Its top speed is 157mph, and thanks to an engine stop-start system, its CO2 output is officially rated at only 218g/km.
Porsche claims the Cayenne S Diesel is the only V8 diesel SUV in the world to have stop-start technology.
