'Positive' talks on solar park plans
COUNCILLORS say a meeting to discuss plans to build a solar park in a Gwendraeth Valley village was positive.
The public exhibition took place at Tumble Hall on Thursday and gave residents the chance to find out more information about the development.
Developers Kinetica Energy gave residents the chance to ask questions before a planning application is submitted.
The proposed site for the panels will be on three fields of low grade agricultural land to the west of Llannon at Pentre Farm.

Developers say the site will be able to provide an electricity supply to 1,200 houses in the area.
Terry Evans, chairman of Llannon Community Council, said: "The meeting went very well and I did not hear anyone say they were unhappy about it, but it does not really affect Llannon because we won't be able to see it."
Mr Evans also said quite a few people attended the meeting and all of his questions were answered by the developers.
A spokesman for Kinetica Energy said: "We are currently engaging with local communities."
