Port Talbot sisters to share story of abuse
A SOUTH Wales Police investigation into the sexual abuse of two sisters from Port Talbot by their father is to feature in a new television series.
The story of Nicola Twomey and Emma Willis, who waived their right to anonymity to take part in the programme, will be told in an episode of Britain's Darkest Taboos on the Crime and Investigation Network tonight.
Their father Kevin Twomey was sentenced to 14-and-a-half years in prison at Swansea Crown Court for abuse which spanned 12 years.
Detective Inspector Mark Lewis, said: "The sisters showed tremendous courage and determination to come forward to the police and tell us about the abuse they had suffered throughout their childhood.
"Their story should act as an inspiration."
