WITH no Premier League football for Swans fans to enjoy this weekend, Port Talbot Town are hoping for a supporter boost.

Fans are being encouraged to head down to the Genquip Stadium on Sunday for the club's game with The New Saints, as part of the Welsh Club Weekend initiative which aims to encourage people to see a local league side, when top flight games are off.

The match is available at half-price to Swans season ticket holders and Wales boss Chris Coleman has backed the idea.

He said: "In the current climate times are hard, but if you think of some of the places where you have got to pay to watch Premier League football, they're phenomenal some of those prices."

"On Sunday we have got Port Talbot hosting TNS, which should be a really good game. TNS are probably, in my opinion, the strongest team, obviously winning it last year and they're in a good position this year."
