UPDATE AT 08:50: ALL earlier problems have now improved, although drivers should still take care as the rain is forecast to be heavy and persistent throughout the day.
There is one new issue - congestion and delays on the M4 eastbound, junction 33 Capel Llanilltern sliproad.

POOR driving conditions are being reported on the M4 this morning.
Drivers are being warned to take care between junction 49 Pont Abraham and junction 30 Cardiff Gate because of heavy rain.

There is a similar warning in place for both directions of the 470 between Coryton and Abercynon.
And motorists are being warned to expect delays as a result of congestion on the A470 southbound, Nantgarw to Coryton interchange.
On the railways there were severe delays being reported on the Swansea to Shrewsbury Heart of Wales line.
