Ponty setting sights on higher things after win
PONTARDAWE Town are seventh in division one of the MacWhirter Welsh League after a 3-1 victory over Tata Steel on Saturday.
The Swansea Valley side are just five points adrift of leaders Taffs Well, but have two games in hand.
Tom Blackburn opened the scoring for Pontardawe before the break, only for Lee McLachlan to equalise for bottom side Tata.
Blackburn then gave Pontardawe the lead again, before Josh Roberts sealed the points with his first touch after coming on as a substitute.

In division two Briton Ferry Llansawel were left frustrated after they let a two-goal lead slip in their 2-2 draw at Croesyceiliog.
Ferry dominated the opening period of the match, and they went into the lead when a cross from the left by Gavin Jones was headed in at the far post by Rory Healey.
And they doubled their advantage when a Healey cross sailed straight into the net after its flight was misjudged by the home keeper.
But the home side fought back as the game wore on and scored twice to earn a share of the spoils.
The draw means Ferry stay third in the table.
Garden Village went down to a 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Undy Athletic, while Ammanford's game at Cwmaman Institute was postponed.
