Pontardawe to Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen road reopens

THE main road between Pontardawe and Gwau-Cae-Gurwen has reopened following a crash involving a lorry and a tractor this morning.

The accident happened on the A474 in Rhyd-y-fro, near the junction with Waun Penlan, just after 9.30am.

The road was closed until noon while police attended the scene and the vehicles were recovered.

Police said there were no reports of injuries.

A South Wales Police spokesman said: "We attended a road traffic collision on Commercial Road, Rhyd-y-fro, involving a tractor and a lorry.

"There appear to be no injuries.

"The road re-opened at 11.57am."
