Police name woman in A40 Carmarthenshire collsion

Police have named the 23-year-old woman who died following a two-vehicle collision on the A40 in Carmarthenshire.

Laura Rees, from St Clears, was driving one of the vehicles when the incident happened between St Clears and Whitland at around 11pm on Friday.

Two adults and two children, who were travelling in the second car involved in the crash, were taken to West Wales General Hospital in Carmarthen but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Witnesses have been asked to contact police at the Carmarthenshire Roads Policing Unit on 101.
