Police warn A level students to be sensible
POLICE have warned young people not to go overboard on A level day.
Hundreds of pupils in the Swansea Bay area and Carmarthenshire will join others across the country in receiving their exams results tomorrow morning and traditionally youngsters like to party afterwards in an understandable move to blow off the steam.
While the overwhelming majority will do this in a sensible manner some youngsters have lived to regret their actions in previous years.
Acting Chief Inspector Steve Jones of Swansea Central Police station said: “We recognise that today is an important day for A Level students and some of whom may want to toast their success.
“We would like to take this opportunity to remind people of the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption and to remind parents of their responsibility to be aware as to where their children are and what they are doing.
“Licensed premises across the city centre adopt a robust stance for those young people who are underage who attempt to enter, they should be under no illusions that they will turned away and refused entry.”
