Police search for missing Six Nations rugby fan Ben Thompson continues
FRIENDS and family of missing rugby fan Ben Thompson have travelled to Cardiff as the hunt for him continues.
The 34-year-old has not been seen since Saturday, when he travelled from his home in Haverfordwest to the capital for Wales's Six Nations clash with Ireland.
Officers say new CCTV footage shows Mr Thompson crossing Leckwith Road into Lawrenny Avenue — near the Leckwith retail park and Cardiff City FC stadium — at 7.17pm on Saturday.
Police search teams are focusing their efforts in that area.

Meanwhile a group of around 30 people — including Ben's wife Jo, friends and colleagues — have made the journey from West Wales to Cardiff, and police say they are being kept updated on the search.
South Wales Police chief inspector Eddie Ough, who is leading the hunt, said: "Ben's family and friends are getting increasingly worried and we are keeping them fully updated on our search.
"We would like to thank members of the public who have responded to our appeals for information.
"We are now particularly keen to hear from anyone who has seen Ben since 7.17pm on Saturday."
Mr Thompson is described as 5ft 9in tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white shirt with blue thin stripes, and brown boots.
