“Parking issues do not need either a PCSO nor a warranted Police Officer to resolve them; if the PCC really wants to achieve something useful he needs to encourage the Police to tackle serious issues such as drugs or domestic violence. What the public want is what they tell officers at regular PACT meetings. Why not take a moment and look on the police website and see for yourself what the residents have said they want addressed in their community? Better still, why not pop along yourself and tell them at the next meeting that you want the drug problem solved? Or would that go against your very one sided armchair opinion? I realise very few know the full extent of the PCCs job for now, but some of the answers are out there if you care to just take a moment and read before making ill informed comments on what you regard as 'needing' a PCC.”

“To be honest i find parking on pavements very annoying. And as for parking outside someones driveway, well that drives me mad. So mad that when it happened to me about 10 years ago i ended up nearly getting arrested. I made the incredible hulk look like the local vicar in comparison, it cost me about £200 as well paying for the damage i caused. To be honest the police were very understanding, i couldn't fault them at all. They also let off if i agreed to pay a bit of compo.

t's quite funny looking back, but at the time it was very frightening, especially for the man who'd parked on my driveway. I've got to say i'm not like that anymore, i'm a changed men. I guess the moral of this story is that a bit of careless parking can lead to a lot of trouble. And my advice to anyone is if it happens to you call the police, don't take the law into your own hands like i did. Believe you me it's not worth it.,”

“The Police should give this job to the local council PCSO's. They know the local bad parking areas and frees up the Police to deal with serious crime. PCSO's should also be used to "police" by slowing down cars near schools and to ticket parents and grandparents who drive their cars along footpaths into schools and drop of children in no drop off zones as children arrive or leave school.”
