Police motorcycle hit by car on A465
A POLICE motorcycle at the scene of an accident was hit by a car which then drove off.
The motorcyclist was on the westbound carriageway of the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road, approaching the Glynneath turn-off at 7pm last night.
While the officer was dealing with an accident there, a vehicle, believed to have been a light grey or blue coloured late model Honda Civic struck the stationary police motorcycle and was driven off without stopping along the westbound A465.
No-one was injured but the car involved is expected to have suffered noticeable offside damage.
South Wales Police are appealing for the driver of the vehicle or anyone who has information to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
