Police launch investigation following alleged assault in Port Talbot
A MAN is in hospital with critical injuries after an alleged assault in Port Talbot.
Police cordoned off part of Water Street after what they described as a serious incident.

Officers confirmed that a man aged 26 was taken to Morriston Hospital for treatment.
Yesterday his condition was said to be critical but stable.

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and was last night being interviewed by detectives.
South Wales Police are appealing for anybody with information on the incident — which happened around 5pm on Thursday — to come forward.
Detective Inspector David Hough of Neath CID said: “I would like to reassure the local community that we are doing all we can to establish exactly was has happened.”
