Police investigation launched into threats against Swansea born author and columnist
POLICE are investigating complaints of harassment against a prominent Swansea-born author and columnist.
Julian Ruck has run an online blog publishing his thoughts on an almost daily basis for the past 18 months.
Mr Ruck claims his internet- based musings get around 1,500 views a week and last year attracted 33,000 views.
The author is also a Llanelli Star columnist and has recently been vocal about taxpayers' money going to what he calls the Welsh literati.

He claims this has attracted criticism and, most recently, insulting and threatening comments on a rival blog created to mimic his own.
Mr Ruck reported this to Dyfed- Powys Police and received a visit from officers after rival bloggers posted threats to throw dog excrement and copies of his books at the windows of his home.
The author said: "I am perceived by some as being a serious threat to the old Labour Welsh establishment."
A spokeswoman for Dyfed- Powys Police confirmed an investigation is now under way into the threats made against Mr Ruck.
Sergeant Heulwen Aston said: "We have received a complaint of harassment and an officer is currently making inquiries into the matter."
