Police hunt defecating woman to make her "accountable"
SOUTH Wales Police are appealing for information after a woman allegedly had a poo in Swansea city centre.
A video purporting to showing the woman defacating in Princess Way, close to the 24-hour gym, has been widely spread via the internet — and has attracted national media attention.
Now the police are hoping to track down the woman.
City inspector Dean Thomas said: “If this incident did actually occur then I would urge people to pass information on to the police by calling 101 to help us identify female to allow an officer look into the reasons behind her behaviour with a view to holding her accountable for her actions.
“This kind of behaviour will not be accepted and I urge anyone with information to come forward.”
Readers of the Evening Post’s Facebook page have been quick to condemn the woman’s alleged actions.
Siobhan McNamara wrote: “This is absolutely disgusting.
“I hope this girl sees this and is utterly ashamed of herself. No self respect of dignity. Vile.”
Linnie Toft added: “This is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen, she is a disgrace. I hope she is named shamed and fined. No class whatsoever.”
Jill Davies simply wrote: “What is our country coming too?”
Meanwhile 10 revellers received £75 fines for urinating in the city centre over the weekend.
Pcsos issued the fix penalty notices on Friday and Saturday night in a bid to crackdown on those reliving themselves in front of the general public.
Sergeant Emma Fox, said: “The offenders were men and women, some from Swansea and others further afield including Port Talbot and Brynmawr.
“Those fined are generally law abiding citizens who knew they had done wrong, were embarrassed and relieved to receive a fine rather than be arrested.
“One male was arrested as his behaviour became unacceptable after being issued with a fine.
“As a first sweep of the city centre, we are pleased with these results and our Pcsos look forward to getting out there again and helping keep the city centre clean.”
