Police are hunting a man who robbed a 38-year-old woman at knifepoint in Swansea city centre.

The incident happened on Walter Road at around 8.40pm on Tuesday, October 30.

The victim was sitting in her Ford Ka car when the suspect got in via the passenger door and threatened her and demanded that she drive away. She saw that he was armed with a knife.

Detectives say the woman refused the demand before the man made off with a cream coloured handbag which was empty, and ran past the RBS Bank and down George Street.

“Hadoken, maybe skin colour was the last thing on this poor woman's mind when this took place? I see your point but if the info isn't there, then it isn't there.”

“it makes you think hard when a woman cannot go to collect her supper without being attacked in her own car ON A TUESDAY NIGHT in Swansea!
something needs to be done, the only time you see Police out doing anything on the streets is on a weekend congregated on or around Wind street!!”
