Police appeal following New Year's Day assault in Porthcawl
Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to talk to in relation to an assault and burglary at a Porthcawl restaurant on New Year's Day.
South Wales Police say a 44-year-old woman was assaulted with a bottle, injuring her face, after she discovered two males on the premises of The Blue Lounge Steakhouse restaurant on The Esplanade at around 3am.

Officers have issued a description of a men they want to talk to in connection with the attack.
The first man is described as is white, around 5ft 6ins tall, of slight build with short, dark brown hair. He was wearing skinny fit dark jeans and a dark coloured T-shirt. He was aged in his late teens or early twenties.

The second is also white and around 6ft - 6ft 2 ins tall. He is of slim build, medium brown hair which is short on the sides and a combed over on top.
He was the same age as the first male. He was wearing skinny fit tan coloured chinos and a slim fit T-shirt which was light coloured with a logo on the front and a medium blue zipped hooded top which was open.
Detective sergeant Paul Mason of Bridgend CID said: “This was a very serious assault which resulted in the victim receiving hospital treatment for her injuries.
“There were a number of people gathered outside the neighbouring takeaway restaurant and we are appealing for anyone who may be able to assist us in apprehending those responsible to contact us."
