A CREEPER burglar struck at a home in Morriston while the family living there was asleep upstairs.

The break-in at the semi-detached house in Clasemont Road happened sometime between Wednesday night and yesterday morning.

Detective Sergeant Nigel Morgan said the keys to the family's light blue, 54 plate BMW X5 were taken from inside the house and the car itself was then stolen, along with some cash.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the Clasemont Road area is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111.

“I had my keys stolen and car when I lived in pinewood estate, we were in the lounge next to the kitchen of the bungalow with my 2 year old running around at the time. Traffic cops were amazing, even found the guy within hours. He was a drug dealing chancer who had'nt long come out of jail. Well, nothing happened with him, he was given a lift home by police.

Us on the other hand, we had a massive bill for recovering the car, had to get the house lock and car locks changed because he threw the keys, the police dusting wrecked the paintwork of the car and it took 10 months to get the cars contents back.

It's shocking that you cannot feel safe in your own home anymore.”
