Police appeal after armed robbery
A HAIRDRESSER working in a Swansea salon was forced to hand over cash to a man who threatened her with a scissors.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the robbery at Alexander's Hairdressers in Mayhill Road, Mayhill.
It happened at around 3pm on Wednesday when the man walked in as the 21-year-old staff member was tending to a customer.
Detective Sergeant Justin Evans of Swansea Central CID said: "After a brief conversation the male produced a silver-coloured scissors, threatened the victim and demanded money.
"The victim handed over a quantity of cash from the till, following which the male ran from the premises."
Police are looking for a white man in his late 20s, roughly 5ft 5in tall and of slim build.
He was wearing a black and white woollen hat with ear flaps and straps that can be tied under the chin, large sunglasses, a black three quarter-length jacket, blue jeans and white training shoes.
Mr Evans said: "The hat worn by this male at the time of the incident was quite distinctive, and no doubt he would have drawn some attention as he ran away from the hairdressers.
"The premises is located in a busy residential area, and I would appeal to anyone who either witnessed the incident, can assist with the identity of the male or has seen anyone in the vicinity wearing a hat matching the description to come forward."

“This is sick what is going on in this town, that's all police's fault. You can see this drunk, drugged people walking every day on the streets. Who are committing this all robberies? They are obviously.
So if the cops are meeting this dirty scum on the street they should stop him or her and ask few question.
Take scumbag on police station and teach him order, just don't leave any marks.”
