Plenty of nostalgia
FORGET that little canine cutie from The Artist who is getting all the attention at the moment, Kermit proves there is life in the old frog yet, with The Muppets film on its way.
After more than a decade away, the none-too-cuddly felt superstars are back, and for Oscar nominee Amy Adams, the chance to work with the debonair Kermit T Frog was impossible to walk away from.

"Kermit was a big part of my decision," Adams admits. "I don't think a lot of people get a personalised video message from Kermit the Frog, and now I have that forever.
"I knew it would touch other people because if I had that reaction with Kermit just saying my name, the Muppets hadn't gone anywhere."
Long-time Muppet fan Jason Segel, star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, was responsible for getting the film into production and he stars in the film as Adams's boyfriend Gary, the brother of Walter, a new Muppet.
Gary, his girlfriend and Walter leave their idyllic hometown of Smalltown, where people randomly burst out into song and dance, to meet Kermit and the original stars of the TV show in LA.
The Muppets, who have pursued solo careers, reunite to put on a fund-raising show to buy back the Muppets Studios from a villainous oil baron, Tex Richman, who plans to destroy it.
As Kermit says: "We're here to sing, dance, make people laugh and somehow make the world a better place. That may sound silly coming from a frog."
The Muppets opens in cinemas tomorrow.
