A WELSH bishop is urging churches to pray for animal, as well as human, casualties of warfare at Remembrance services tomorrow.

The Rt Rev Dominic Walker, the Bishop of Monmouth, said that from the eight million horses that died in the First World War through to animals used to test biological and chemical weapons, God had given man "dominion, but not domination" over other sentient creatures.
