Plan for portable car parks
MORE car parking needs to be provided over the coming year in Carmarthen.
Among the ideas being looked at are portable multi-decking car parks that could be brought in to solve the parking crisis.
Managers of the town's two shopping centres Mike Pugh and John Nash have regularly been meeting with Carmarthenshire Council traffic bosses to find a way forward for the town's parking shortage.
Mr Pugh, manager at St Catherine's Walk, added: "Some of the ideas and temporary seasonal solutions are another park and ride scheme to the eastside of Carmarthen or multi decking one of the existing town car parks. Nothing has been agreed at this stage."
