Pharmacy goes tropical to support young carers
SHIRTS and ties were replaced with sun hats and shades on Friday as staff at a Llanelli pharmacy dressed up to raise vital funds for young carers.
Workers at the Co-operative Pharmacy in Llwynhendy Health Centre dressed up for a summer beach party during the day in aid of the Carers Trust.
The organisation, which is the Co-operative's charity of the year, tackles feelings of isolation and provides breaks, information, and support for 14 to 25 year olds acting as carers.
Victoria Folkard, Manager of The Co-operative Pharmacy, said: "It's great to think that while we're creating a holiday atmosphere in the branch we'll be raising funds to provide much needed breaks for young carers across the UK."
