PERFORMING arts groups in the upper Swansea Valley have the chance to land some spare props, sets and costumes.

Powys Council is developing its drama centre in Llandrindod Wells as a hub to support theatre development throughout the county.

And in doing so they are offering the surplus equipment to community groups which can make use of them.

Andrew Sterry, from the council's arts service, said: "The range of items is spectacular and is a wonderful opportunity for local groups.

"Unfortunately we can now longer keep all the items in store so we hope our local theatre and arts groups can benefit from them."

Within it's stores, the arts service has an Aladdin's cave of items from performances over a period of approximately 30 years. From February 13 to 16 the stores will be opened up for viewings by appointment only.
