Pensioner stable after collision
A SWANSEA pensioner who was seriously injured in a collision involving a motorcyclist is said to be in a stable condition.
Maureen Clarke, known as Molly, was taken to Morriston Hospital after the incident in Llansamlet early on Friday morning.
The 75-year-old, who lives in Samlet Road, is still waiting to hear if she requires surgery to remove part of her leg. Son-in-law Derrick Owen said: "She is stable at the moment."
Mr Owen added that Mrs Clarke was being comforted by her six daughters and other family members around the clock.
South Wales Police have asked anyone who was travelling along Samlet Road at the time to come forward.
A 36-year-old motorcyclist has been arrested and was helping police with their enquiries.
