Pay rise for Tata Steel workers
THOUSANDS of steel workers in Port Talbot and Llanelli are to get a pay rise.
The move centres around Tata Steel, which employs around 3,500 people in Port Talbot and another 750 people at its Trostre tin plant in Llanelli.
The announcement was made by the GMB union, which claimed credit for the above inflation rise following protracted pay talks.
The deal will see all pay rates increase by 3.75 per cent backdated from April 1, 2013.
