LONG-TIME Swansea City target Paul Anderson has joined Nottingham Forest in a £250,000 deal.

The Liverpool winger has signed a three-year contract at the City Ground, where he spent last season on loan.

Anderson, 20, excelled at the Liberty Stadium during a year-long loan in 2007-8 and Swansea had agreed a fee with Liverpool earlier this summer.

But Swansea's interest waned after Roberto Martinez departed for Wigan and because the player did not show much interest in holding talks.

“Look forest fans it isn;t 1979 anymore

we are all fed up of hearing your boring sentimenal drivel about cloughie and co.

Your a poor side and will struggle to stay up this year.

If anderson wants to go to your club, good on him.

He spends most of his time sat in the stands injured and it appears he likes relegation dogfights as opposed to gaining promotion.

I'm glad you lost stayed up it;s 6 easy points for us next year.

And spare us all the "when we was fab" nonsense the next time we meet and beat you.”

    “Robbie Red.
You are correct in what you say Forest would walk all over us attendance wise but wait..........
Forest havent won a single thing ofr many years and just live in the limelight of the late Brian Clough.
Footballing wise we have walked all over you for the last few years and just because we have had a change of management and staff does not mean we will be any different this coming season,we also do not need to spend millions on players who are not going to make any difference to the team ie Earnshaw etc, also why bring in Adebola from another ccc side,if he cant do it for them he wont be able to do it for you.Automatic relegation looms for Forest so Ando will be begging to join another team next year”

“We are bigger than you by a country mile. Our average attendance was 25000 in a poor season last year, what was yours in a good season last year ??,anyway your little ground would not hold that many.I predict you will struggle this season, your manager will be sacked half way through the season, and we will finish above you.”

“Sorry to see we didn't get Anderson. I don't know whether it was the club or the player who lost interest in the other, but it would have been great to get a player of that quailty back into the side, especially seeing as he had come out and said he wanted away from Forest.

I expect the next season to be tougher than our last, but hopefully Sousa can keep the core of the team intact and bring in some new talent to push for the playoffs.”

“Is this merely a case of Martinez leaving and Sousa not having the same interest in Anderson? Is it a case of Anderson not wanting to play for Sousa? Anderson had essentially come out and said he did not want to stay at Forest, and preferred a move to the Swans, so it's a bit maddening to see him stay in England while all we hear about are the likely losses of Scotland and Bodde to the premiership. Cheers to de Vries for staying with the squad, though. Stability at the back should be great for the squad going into the season.”
