TEN bus passengers were taken to hospital when the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in a collision in Swansea city centre yesterday afternoon.

The bus appeared to have been involved in a collision with a Mitsubishi 4x4 on the junction of Westway with Wellington Street, the road between Tesco and the Quadrant centre car park, at around 2pm.

The emergency services were quickly on the scene.

A spokeswoman for bus operator, First Cymru, said: "A number of passengers on board the bus sustained what are thought to be minor injuries as a result of the collision.

"The driver of the bus was unhurt."

South Wales Police said the driver of a silver Mitsubishi vehicle had been reported for summons for a number of alleged road traffic offences.
