WORK to spruce up a Pontardawe public amenity and car park is now complete.

Parc Ynysyderw and the Pontardawe Leisure Centre car park were given a £150,000 transformation to make the area more accessible.

Shrubs and floral displays, which will blossom during spring and summer, have been planted and seating areas have been installed to give views of the River Tawe.

Neath Port Talbot Council leader Ali Thomas said: "This design scheme will improve the general physical environment and benefit the local community, local business and visitors alike.
