Panic buying
Having seen three snow flakes drifting by the windows of Evening Post Towers I decided to head straight to the nearest supermarket to join the crowds panic-buying provisions ahead of the inevitable blizzard.
Not allowing the brilliant sunshine and blue skies outside to deter me, I made haste to Sainsbury's for a life-saving shop.
Ignoring the milk, bread, blankets and torch batteries I went directly to the wine aisle and bought two bottles of the stunning Taste the Difference Oloroso (Sainsbury's, £6.49 for a 50cl bottle).
This sherry is simply amazing — it smells like Christmas cake and manages to be sweet and dry, rich, tangy and spicy all at the same time. And the finish lasts until next week.
This is my kind of emergency rations.
Quite why this stuff isn't £10-plus a bottle I will never know — but I won't complain if you won't.
So, if I am snowed-in in Neath tomorrow fear-not dear reader, for I will be fine. In fact I'll be very, very happy.
