Outgoing Ryan has no regrets
RYAN Jones hands over the Ospreys armband to Alun Wyn Jones believing the region have a captain on board for the long run.
Jones relinquishes his post after three years in charge at the Liberty — a decision made to ease the Wales captain's workload.
Jones has led the Ospreys to a EDF Cup triumph, a Magners League title and three Heineken Cup quarter-finals during his time in charge and believes Alun Wyn can enjoy similar success at the helm.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time as captain of the Ospreys, it's meant a huge amount to me and my family over the last three years," said Ryan.
"It's not a position that anyone relinquishes lightly, but we've had lengthy discussions about it over the summer and it's the best move for the Ospreys and for Wales moving forward."
