OSPREYS duo Joe Bearman and Ross Jones have been cited for an alleged dangerous tackle during their side's Pro12 defeat to Connacht in Galway on Friday night.

The pair have been cited for an incident in the 27th minute of the 22-10 loss, contrary to law 10.4(j).

The law states: "Lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving that player into the ground whilst that player's feet are still off the ground such that the player's head and/or upper body come into contact with the ground is dangerous play."

The pair will attend a hearing before an independent disciplinary panel at a date to be confirmed.

The Ospreys, currently in fifth spot in the Pro12 table, are already without a host of players because of international commitments and injuries.

They take on Edinburgh at the Liberty Stadium on Friday evening.

Meanwhile, the star billing of the British Lions has seen all three Tests against Australia this summer confirmed as sell-outs.

The Australian Rugby Union said that the general public ticket allocations were "drained" within minutes of going on public sale.
