Oppose wind farm plans
In 1948 a popular campaign defeated a plan to bring a Butlins holiday camp to Rhossili Bay on Gower, thus ensuring that a gem of unsullied beauty should remain for the enjoyment of all in perpetuity.
That battle was the first of many fought by the Gower Society and led to Gower's designation as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1956. Today Rhossili is ranked as one of the world's most beautiful places.
All this is under threat once more by a scheme to build a wind farm, erroneously called The Atlantic Array, in the Bristol Channel between Worms Head and Lundy Island, thereby blighting the iconic view forever.
I appeal to all who love Gower and particularly Rhossili to voice their objections to this scheme.
